CEA facilities reduce excessive chemical use by 95%, by transitioning to PRO-OXINE® Horticulture from hypochlorous acid.
A new CEA partner is reducing excessive water treatment chemical use at its large grow facility by up to 23:1, representing a ⬇️95% reduction, by transitioning to PRO-OXINE® Horticulture.
PRO-OXINE® Horticulture is used in full-time water treatment programs as an alternative to hypochlorous acid, offering substantially lower chemical usage while supporting effective water disinfection, system hygiene, and reduced corrosion potential.
🌱⬆️Applied full-time in irrigation water, PRO-OXINE® Horticulture enhances overall water system performance from incoming water to storage tanks to the root zone. This shift to a more effective product reduces reliance on aggressive, yield-negative chemistries, lowers freight and handling costs, and minimizes crop stress associated with phytotoxicity, nutrient lockout, and pathogen pressure.
🌱⬆️Maintaining irrigation water quality is a core component of an effective IPM program when managing high-impact pathogens such as fusarium, iron bacteria, botrytis, HLVd, both planktonic and surface-attached biofilms, and more.
🌱⬆️Additional benefits extend beyond irrigation with PRO-OXINE® Horticulture to no-rinse applications on hard, non-porous surfaces. The result is a more stable IPM program, healthier plants, higher realized yields, reduced chemical inputs, and improved operational efficiency and work environment.
Consumer safety. Increased yields. Fewer chemicals through better engineering.
